I’m a wife, mom, and compulsive writer. I embrace creativity as a way of expressing my Spirituality.

I am Ordained as a Minister in the Church of the Latter-Day Dude and hold several honorary degrees from Abide University:

• Doctor of Divinity in Ministry Science,
  
• Doctor of Philosophy in Economicals, and
  
• Master of Arts in Abidance Counseling.
  

As a practitioner of chaotic arts, I crave structure but reject authority....

My Work

I consider myself a creative expressionist, and I dabble in linguistic exercises geared more towards imparting emotional experiences rather than directly illustrating reality. Metaphor is my favorite kind of magic.

Interests

It is my mission to teach creative principles and practices, to spread joy throughout my community, and to be a source of hope to others by offering humility, optimism, and support to every person I meet. I do this by encouraging connection to a personal "daemon", and developing a mutually beneficial relationship with this unique entity.

The daemon has gone by many names across human history. The Romans called it "genius," the Christians called it "the guardian angel".

Today, we use terms such as "heart", "spirit", and "soul". Our daemon is the unique spirit entity that guides us from birth and shapes the course of our lives. Its nature remains shadowy, revealing itself mainly in hints, intuitions, whispers, and the sudden urges and oddities that disturb your life and that we continue to call symptoms. By connecting with our daemon, we can begin to ask the questions, "What is it, in my heart, that I must do, be, and have? And why?"

I believe that “You are born with a character; it is given, like a gift, as the old stories say, from the guardians upon your birth.” (James Hillman, The Soul’s Code). I encourage connection with your inner character to help it finds its voice, and to share its stories by bringing its message to life in the world.

Once upon a time, I heard that a person needs at least 48 hours per day to be able to do all the things we “need” to do. Because of this, we always feel behind, because there is never a moment when we are not behind in one way or another.

Instead of building structure where we are optimized to death, what if we create a resonant world where we live as our fully actualized selves? This way, our work is a reflection of our authentic drives and passions because we find value in things that cannot be measured by the market.

Resonance

means connecting with others in ways that have NOTHING to do with optimization or acceleration, with economics or productivity. Instead, we synchronize the vibrations within our networks, reinforcing our collective strengths and putting them to work for the greater good of all.

Through the journey of asking and answering these questions, I hope to promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person by embracing radical acceptance (of others, but also of the self) and by encouraging spiritual growth to facilitate a free and responsible search for truth and meaning.

The Workbook:

Savannah Snake Oil is how I dipped my toes into what I call “bad branding”. Instead of getting caught up in all the “right” ways of building a brand, I decided to mix it up with a little of this and a little of that, combining my interests in business development and marketing with my love of creativity and an innate sense of spirituality.
